Ryleigh is a 2 year old male German Shepherd mix. He came to the shelter as a stray. He knows lots of basic obedience skills such as sit and down, and he even knows a few tricks, including paw and roll-over. He obeys nicely but a treat can be used as motivation to obey. Ryleigh likes to play and as long as you are playing with him he will play with toys. He settles nicely after play, but sometimes will continue to play on his own for a bit. Ryleigh is friendly and excited, yet respectful on approach. He enjoys a good pet and will get in your lap and lick your face! When left to his own accord, Ryleigh does his own thing, but also checks back in with you. He is an active boy. He is smart and shows willingness and focus when working with him. Ryleigh would benefit from continuing with basic obedience training, that way he does not lose what he already knows. He would need to go to a home with a yard in order to maintain a moderate activity level. Ryleigh would likely do well with children of any age.
